PNG train on squad named for 2016 OFC Nation’s Cup

first_imgThe Nations Cup is the second round of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification tournament for the Oceania region.The top six teams of this tournament will advance to the third round of the World Cup qualifier which will take place in 2017.Eight countries will take part in the Nations Cup. Group A:  Tahiti, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea and Samoa. Group B consists of: New Zealand, Solomon Islands, Fiji and Vanuatu.PNG’s assistant coach Milan Miric said the PNGFA are looking to start shaping up the best team for the tournament with the first training camp to begin this Thursday at the PNGFA Academy in Lae.The training squad: Port Moresby – John Bai, Roland Bala, Daniel Joe, Michael Foster, David Muta, Jamal Seeto and Patrick Aisa; Lae – Ronald Warisan, Ismael Pole, Jeremy Yasasa, Valentine Nelson, Agi Moses, Joshua Talau, Eluda Fugre, Jacob Sabua, Emmanuel Simon, Nigel Dabinyaba, Raymond Gunemba and Semmy Hiob; Madang – Niel Hans, Darren Steven, Vanya Malagian, Hanson Topio, Papalau Awele and Emmanuel Airem; Wau – Otto Kusunan, Peter Yang and Tommy Semmy; Mt Hagen – Koriak Upaiga; Manus – Eliuda Pohei.last_img
