The Mood of the Nation poll was conducted by Karvy Insights Limited from December 28, 2018 to January 8, 2019.The survey was carried out across 97 parliamentary constituencies in 194 assembly constituencies in 19 states. A total of 12,166 interviews were conducted in Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.69 per cent of these interviews were in rural areas while the remaining 31 per cent were carried out in urban areas. An additional 1,103 interviews were carried out in 20 Lok Sabha constituencies in the politically important state of Uttar Pradesh, which sends the most number of parliamentarians to the Lok Sabha.So, what is the nation’s mood?
