Morrison government bans Milo Yiannopoulos from entering Australia

first_imgGreek-Irish “cultural libertarian” Milo Yiannopoulos (born Milo Hanrahan, but also known as Milo Andreas Wagner) has been banned from entering Australia.Fairfax publications revealed that the visa application of the right-wing provocateur was rejected because of fears that he would “incite discord in the Australian community or in a segment of that community.” The move that is likely to infuriate his supporters and please critics angered by his ridicule of Islam, atheism, feminism, social justice and political correctness.In October 2017, leaked emails revealed that Yiannopoulos had repeatedly solicited neo-Nazi and white supremacist figures on the alt-right for feedback and story ideas in his work for the website Breitbart. The leaked emails also showed that his book, Dangerous, and many of his Breitbart articles were ghost-written by a Breitbart colleague.In June last year, Paypal suspended Yiannopoulos for using the payment system to send $14.88 to a Jewish journalists.
